Lumberjacks Sam and Adam brought their people together at Brule River Barn for a fully outdoor backyard wedding celebration, with organic boho styling.
We must admit: the North Shore is one of our favorite places on earth. We've had so many amazing trips and milestones together up there, and it just has a very special place in our hearts. Therefore we were so excited and honored to take a trip up to document Sarah & David's engagement, since they hold this place so dear as well. These two fatefully met at a New Year's Eve gathering right on Lake Superior a few years back. They love spending time in nature together, and after David proposed this spring on a camping trip we all knew the great North was the best and only spot for their photos.
We're in love with the images from their adventurous, playful, and powerful session, and we're so excited to watch them make it official in October.
PS. Sarah is a designer for Target, so we knew she'd bring the outfit game, but this dress!? *Swoon*
We LOVE black and white images. From a nerdy photographer standpoint, they are magic for focusing the eye in on a moment by removing the distraction of color. They also just make the moody side of our hearts beat a little faster!
With a shoot full of perfect lighting, an amazing connection, and the badass style these two brought to the table, we thought Kelanie & Jason's engagement session would be perfect to go all-out black & white. Check it out, friends.
Nicole and Michael’s day was full of smiles, and was a full-on party throughout thanks to an amazing group of family and friends. Saint Paul provided a stellar backdrop full of industrial city-chic backdrops as well as lush greenery. We loved our time with these two so much 💚
Carly, Adam, and their families pulled off the perfect home farm wedding (from scratch) in her hometown of Bird Island, and we were SO impressed. This day went flawlessly, with lovely details falling into place as the backdrop for a celebration of community and love. Highlights: an emotional backyard ceremony, unburying the bourbon, surprise confetti, a romp through the sugar beets, and the best pig roast in the land.
UPDATE!: This wedding was selected as real wedding of the year by Minneapolis St Paul Magazine! We are so excited and proud of these two, and we love that such a meaningful, personalized, and special day was selected for this honor.
